InsomniaA Poem by Olumegbon
Sleep has robbed my peace,
My restless soul entrapped in my awaken body, My eyes glued to the ceiling, My thoughts are blank, My mind still can't rest. Have I wronged time, It slowly mocks my misery, The night shines in its prime, The bed murmurs, I've abused its surface, The pillow is depressed, It listened to all my worries. Suddenly the clock ticks loud, Morning has driven the night out, I'm surprised but ecstatic, Busy day ahead, precipitously, the night cometh, Fear overshadows me. Will I sleep or not. © 2015 OlumegbonAuthor's Note
