DANCING IN THE RAIN

DANCING IN THE RAIN

A Poem by Miss Sharon
"

A love poem dedicated to my husband of 55 years...JIM!

"

DANCING IN THE RAIN

Your love is like a rose bouquet...
So fragrant in the bloom.
Your smile is like Chantilly lace,
That floats across the room.

Your presence gives me strength to stand
When life bequeaths me pain.
You hold my hand and sing me songs...
While dancing in the rain.

Your faith in 'us' gives me the will
And courage to go on...
When life is hard and I'm remiss
While thinking I'm its pawn.

You hold me up when I am weak...
Believing all things true.
You always see the best in me
And I'm in love with you!

A wonderful tribute to your marriage and your husband Jim here Sharon. He certainly comes across as your rock when the going gets tough and your love and appreciation for him shine through. Classical style and so well penned. A treat to read.

What a sweet response to this write Pat! Thanks ever so much. ~Sharon
Such a wonderful, loving expression of devotion and appreciation. Congratulations on your lives together. It makes me smile to think that there are still some lasting love affairs alive in the world today. My mom and dad were that way...so loyal and fiercely protective of our family. This is beautiful.

Thank you so much for your nice review of this write my friend! ~Sharon
I can't relate to such a partnership, having witnessed so many bad ones, but your poem depicts a lifelong experience that may help one believe in the power of union (which I only barely believe in!) Your tribute to your hubby, as well as to your marriage is gracefully stated, (altho not my cup of tea, frankly), but you paint a word tapestry of what people dream of, look for, & write about, more than any other thing in life! Here's hoping you & your loved ones are doing well & healthy (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
