BLUE JEANS AND DIAMONDS

BLUE JEANS AND DIAMONDS

A Poem by Miss Sharon
"

The days and nights of a cowgirl at heart.

"
BLUE JEANS AND DIAMONDS

She wore blue jeans in sunshine
And rode a black steed.
She never did care
About taking the lead.

Her hair was a-jumble
And blown by the wind.
She never did mind
What the weather could send.

But after the haying
And barn work was done,
She washed off the dirt
And prepared for night fun!

She put on her diamonds
And sexy black dress,
And no one could say
That her hair was a mess.

By day she wore blue jeans...
By night she wore gems.
I guess you might say
She attracted the men!

I would certainly think so; after all she was like a new person at night with her black dress and gems and an new hairdo; I like the contrast in this poem, the vivid imagery and the rhyme, which you are so clever with Sharon; also you include the fact that she is pretty sexy and attractive, a transformation indeed, and reminds me of the wild west.

A couple weeks ago we went to Pawhuska, Oklahoma, home of The Pioneer Woman on Food Network. Your poem brought images of those good hard-working country folks who clean up so nicely.

Gee
Reads like a woman many men would chase but few would ever catch or tame:)
Reminds me of Calamity Jane.
Lovely piece

This is a fun piece Sharon and shows that people are rarely one-dimensional. Your character certainly has two sides to her and I think I would like both. :0)

dear Sharon… back in the Wild West days … women were Bar Maids… today Women wear Cowboy Boots to be Sexy and a ♦️ Diamond on their finger … but best of all we can sing along with Neil Diamond “Forever in Blue Jeans” never gets old. Your poem is a Keeper. Pat

This is a fun poem, but never underestimate the allure of a cowgirl in old jeans, a well-worn shirt worn well, and mussed hair! Put her astride a stallion and oh my!

there may be a misconcepion of farm women...you have so poetically cleared that up.
Women can toil with the best of men...but then be very sexy on the other hand.
feminine yet strong.
I really like this,
j.
