A Chapter by Orahemae December

Scarlett takes me home

300     A kinder soul, of which I am glad.

Jason, my friend, is waiting there

Watching me say goodbye.

I wander just how bad I look

Then am overjoyed because, at last,

305     I am free. Free to thing any thought.

For I am Free from Him.

I run to him, my Jason, my friend,

With open arms. I wander to myself

How I could miss this feeling for him.

310      He says to me such sweet things to help me calm my nerve.

But alas, I need this not for I and finally free.

He says to me with honest eyes,

But why I am not sure, “My Sara, my friend

I cannot see why you are with her.

315      To me, you are nothing alike

And your time always ends in tears.

So tell me my friend why you choose her?”

I wander how I can explain

To me what Scarlett is.

320     I go through the list of reason why

And at end I settle for this.

“Jason, my dear, I have to say

To me, she is my best friend.”

I confide in him as I once did her

325     Telling him of my pain.

Then at my stories end I look at him and say’

“You see, my friend, she has many name.

Though to me she is my savior, my hero, my friend.”
