Inspired Breath

Inspired Breath

A Poem by 1VJ
"

surrender to love

"

unceasing breath

 relentlessly capture cravings

...and when I am beyond weary

you close your eyes whereby

releasing mine own apperceptions

whence I may rest peaceably,

sheltering me against forces

 of brazen daylight

as I indulge the moon,

our hearts whispering amidst

one assentive horizon,

acquiescing powers of affection,

that which e'er dwells 'neath

boundlessly blissed skies' perception,

 far-reaching vitally inspired gestures

 furthermost of depths' sacred surrender

I enjoyed this piece......surrendering to the emotions and beats of the heart that longs to love....

I am an avid fan of this type of Elizabethan language; it is the language of the true poets of the ages, and much harder to write than the standard English of today, hence i use it myself from time to time, despite the haters that appear on here!

Lovely writing!

Thanks Cassie!
I am in love with imagery; musical, painting, poetry, all and more I think. Yet I must admit when it
comes in a poem with language and meaningful lexeme, I am more impressed. That's why poetry is the
only "true' distinguished message. What I mean is that even poems of pure illusion, will speak to the soul.

Beautifully written.....dana

The poem reminds me of that Native American mythical love story between the sun and the moon, especially in these lines:

sheltering me against forces
of brazen daylight
