A Life In Film

 

In staggering, patchwork movie reels

my life plays out.

Not the main feature but some

art house creation

screened in a dingy cold, bare basement.

 

At least I had the lead role,

the romantic hero who gets, but loses

the girl,

time and bloody time again,

as scriptwriters chopped and changed.

 

But the director was no Nolan, Bergman or Lumet

as he misinterpreted the script

and led his actors

to the infamy

of cinematic collapse.

 

And the producers, The Studio, the editor,

they all had their say,

leaving me a jobbing actor,

forgotten and unemployed

on the cutting room floor

i have no luck ...i watch the fights at times and pick someone to root for (more exciting that way) and i feel bad for them because 99% of the time they loose ..same with football .. i start watching when its down to about 5-6 teams ... i pick one ..and out they go ..same with the superbowl ..i have tried picking the one i don't want to win and guess what ...yup ..they loose :))))but i am a very happy man ... my life is quite simple ...
