Blocked!

Blocked!

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen
"

Funny how people behave.

"

Funny how people will cross the street

simply because of the legend of leprosy.

They see the yellow star pinned to your chest

by some pathetic troll,

and they fear the crucifix painted on your door.

They hear the bell,

even before it has had time to ring

and salivate like Pavlov's dogs.

So you are marked,

the black spot

showing you to be toxic

sits front and centre

in their minds-eye.

They shun you,

spurn you,

turn you away.

They reject you

scorn you,

snub you at every opportunity,

in the name of a lie,

in the name of a myth.

Diluted minds are impossible to deal with. They cannot be appeased or silenced. They rage to be heard, they write to be heard.

They play the victim for sympathy then they victimize for control. ( or possibly because their board)
The why of isn't important.
We can only stand together and not become like them.

Somehow create a checks and balances.

So then in truth we don't have a moderator. Only someone to maintain the page.

Seems that way. But there are so many nice people here who outweigh the nasty!

I agree that's why I have been here so long.

Blocking have always two sides person who is blocking and person who is blocked. I think for both its not really pleasant moment. Sometimes people get blocked from misunderstood or wrong interpretation what was actually said. If somebody block me cause he heard something about me this cannot hurt me.I was blocked few people too . People who act like my friends but after while they, don't give damn about me etc. This is probably article about our dearest david. But I want pointing out on more reason to be block then just bulling. By the way I saw our friend to acting like he is the one,who is hurt. Which cam be actually truth cause if you hurt someone in next round you will be hurt too.

I don't know. I do my best to avoid the naysayers. Write for yourself and let's the naysayers scream and cry to other folks or leave. Hello John, good morning.

Yeah I saw that one too!
You have certainly had your fair share of troll attacks John, senseless and meaningless. I suppose I treat others the way they treat me, most are good times , some ridicule my work, while others perplex me which I'm beginning to learn. and I've had my troll haters for awhile. Informative writing as usual John, fine stuff!

I know wordman. Good on you. The extremes people go too.
Just looked at Jacob's review. It totally sums up everything I feel as well. Don't like conflict on poetry sites. There's enough of it in the real world. I speak to everyone who is respectful to me. There is always the block button for those inclined.

I agree, Jacob has encapsulated it well. There is too much to share here without resorting to nastin.. read more
i tend to interact with people on this kind of site on the basis of our personal interaction...rumors spread, lies spread, chaos spreads....unfortunate it is, because as i have expressed before, poets need each other...there is a plethora of those out there who do not understand us in the least...we need each other.
Helpful critiques are quite necessary and useful...but meanness should not be shared within the poetry community.
