Baby Owl

Baby Owl

A Poem by Dara

Once there was a baby owl

Who wanted to learn how to fly.

He was just a young thing

With baby owl wings

But the courage to go out and try.

His mom told him “Son, just wait ‘til you’re one

And I’ll give you lessons that day.”

But he wanted to test

So jumped out of the nest

Learning his lesson the hard way.

I can sure relate to this baby owl, for I never listened to anyone, either, and learned most things the hard way. Mama owl tried, so let's give her credit for that. The picture you've used is terrific. A very nice one, Dara.
