Yesterday's Love

Yesterday's Love

A Poem by Dara

Seems like just yesterday

we talked for hours

sharing intimate thoughts

exchanging  ‘I love you’s’.

But as I woke up this morning

it dawned once again

that you’ll not be returning

our love had to end.

Today I am missing

your sweet tender voice.

Those precious words

you wrote are now lost.

Aye! Would give all I have

pray to the good Lord above

to bring back the feeling

of yesterday’s love.

Yes...no need of thanks :)
This is nice. I portrays a sense of longing, but not a hopeless longing, the words you used give the poem's reader a light sense of hope.
