A most famous story of forbidden love ending in a tragic outcome. If only families gave their blessing, the outcome would be different. It happens every day and all over the world.
At least you are safe Pat for you found your hubby.
Now, moonbeams are a stimulus to a great rendezvous .

June can be a romantic month. I got married on June 1st, more years ago than I care to admit! But not all romances end happily, of course, as you allude to with your Romeo and Juliet reference. A nicely penned poem, with a dreamlike quality to it!

It may be no piece but the first stanza you're alone because you ponder June is the month of bride's the drama is a forbidden love that could be true. But that's what's what I see when I read. Thank you for sharing.
I enjoyed reading.

drank the Wine and went to sleep forever..."
Tonight I drink the whiskey, maybe tomorrow I drink the coffee. I enjoyed the poetry dear Pat. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

Dreaming of 'romantic Rendezvous where passions play'.
Such beautiful, soft imagery... with a gentle warning against romanticising.
Unlike Juliet who saw through the rose tinted glasses and took control of her Sad Ending.
So bittersweet - a battle that can't be won, it seems, not through victory or defeat.
Lovely! I'll likely read this several more times.
