Mysterious Grey Clouds

Mysterious Grey Clouds

A Poem by Patricia Wedel

Blue Skies on a Clear Day... with wisps of Autumn Arias.

where Mourning Doves gather under grey clouds of doubt...

The Squirrels gather Nuts to hide in rock gardens for

cold winter days when the Wind and Snow fall softly

upon the frozen ground where Fox lie in Caves...

The days become shorter and Buttercups melt like

Honey in a Hive where Bees come and Buzz until

early next Spring when golden Daffodils bloom...

What a lovely recitation of how nature winds down from late summer to autumn. I especially love the line 'buttercups melt like honey in a hive.' I could picture the drooping yellow blossoms. I had the taste of honey and butter mingling in my mouth. A most excellent read!

Softly, you fill the clouds of doubt with hope of changes to come, seen in due season, moved in said times.
Fragility is everywhere; we must be strong.

All true and worthy. You are welcome Patricia.
Even when the clouds are grey Pat, you still see the optimism over the horizon, which isn't too bad a place to be, is it?
Always on the lookout for optimism and beauty in nature sure beats hibernating until the thaw! 😊

This is so pastoral and melodic, it might be the pipes of Pan calling to the tree nymphs across the open fields. Very serene and lovely.

We are approaching autumn and our avian friends and the creatures who visit our gardens are anticipating the change in season and making their own preparations for the colder times ahead. Shorter days, less light but always the promise of spring and the season of rebirth to look forward to. The darker days, make spring even more glorious when she arrives. Anticipating those golden daffodils waving in the breeze that Wordsworth wrote of, a visual joy. Beautiful poetry Pat. You paint wonderful imagery in your lines. Have a wonderful Tuesday.

You delicately note at least 6 or 7 magical fractions of nature in this melodious piece, reminding all of how wondrous nature is and how these tiny creatures find their paths , create their abodes…so very beautifully painted.

"Description of blue skies with hints of autumn melodies, while mourning doves gather under clouds of doubt. squirrels gathering nuts and hiding them in rock gardens. The mention of frozen ground and foxes in caves and Buttercups melt like honey in a hive. It ends with the anticipation of spring and the blooming of golden Daffodils." Such a lovely imagery can be seen throughout the piece. 🌻✨
