Mid - Flight Conclusion

hanging on a kite's tail

and so i caught a flight on the tail of a kite
being there was no other mode of transpo
smooth was the ride till a raindrop fell
without warning
kite stopped mid - flight

should i let go free fall
trust you to catch me
feeling heat on back of my neck
your eyes gazing up

i just know

i let go of the tail softly tumbling
clouds transparent guide me
trusting your arms to be open
waiting to catch me

Don't we all want to fly with kites, swooping and floating the skies - but do we trust ourselves, do we dare! First off, one has to have courage and determination, but then, sweet then, there has to be that other someone special and lovingly trustworthy to be 'there' when needed, to help with the descent, to give support and strength - then, to hug and welcome home.
