At Life's Windowsill

chuva Pictures, Images and Photos

Lightly floating, layered thoughts
Wane as darkness flashes by;
Branches speak sad, wet farewells
Mixed with stirring, whispered sighs.

Shiver not, for what remains
Is a woman washed of pain
Who has learned the lessons taught
Through life’s changing windowpane.

Amazing job! I am thoroughly impressed that you were able to come up with such a remarkable poem (that actually rhymes!) while staying within the constraints of this contest. Very, very well done.
