We need changes in this relationship of ours, Beau.

If we wanna make this work this time that is, ya know?

So let's talk this out and set us some goals to guide us,

let's make this new chance we have to become close.

Beau:

I plan on listening more and listen to what you say,

I will think about what to say before saying it, ok?

I'm going to call you more, i know I've said it before,

I promise you I mean this, I'm not just saying it anymore.

I'm going to try harder to keep my temper controlled,

I dont want this relationship to be an "abusive" one, Crow.

I just want you to be my lover and my bestest best friend,

I want us to become stronger and just love until our end.

Me:

What do I need to change to make this easier on us both?

I dont know how to begin, you never told me what you loathe.

Anyting about me that I should change, I know it's something,

cause out of everything, I know I have at least one wrong thing.

I want to better myself so that I can be a better match for you,

I wanna be the one you walk down the isle & have kids with, too.

I know for one thing I have to stop using hurtful words in fights,

I do that when I'm hurt or upset & it just get us wound up tight.

Beau:

You need to quit stressing so much and just learn to relax some,

maybe if you would just tell me whats wrong, I could help, Hun.

I'm here to help you as well as love you for the amazing girl y'are,

I want this to work as much as you do baby, I no longer wanna part.

This is basically mine and Beau's conversation we just had over text..we've been in so many relationships before but broken up because of slight differences and "in-the-moment" issues with temper...normal causes of break-ups really. Anyway, we got to talking and I told him that we both needed to change or we wouldnt work out. I took what we talked about and put it into poetic formatting. Hope you like the write!
