Growing Up

Growing Up

A Poem by Playaz

Growing up isn't all that grand
Even with a helping hand
Not realizing the expenses
Saving those measly cents
No longer having excess free time
Being put into a bind
The feeling of Independence
Certainly has its limits
It sucks having to watch your stuff
A feeling so uneasy, it's rough
You don't want to be the accuser
But you don't want to lose it
People always wanting to crash
When you say no, you become an a*s
They don't put everything into equation
Ignorant of the rent's payment
Thinking back to being littler
About the constant quivers
Asking if "so and so" could stay over
Misunderstanding why parents said no
It all makes sense now
Equating my money to hours
9 dollars an hour seems like a lot
It's minuscule but it's what I got
Contemplated different jobs
But its not worth the effort
