Parting Hedges

Parting Hedges

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

Parting Hedges

Proclaim His fame,

Say it loud, say it proud.

Jesus Christ reigns

And wants you now!

The harvest is plenty and the workers few,

So, may we do Your work,

Shining Your Light to renew…

Parting hedges to seek You evermore.

Let us be about Your work,

Totally entrusted in Your grace.

You are our salvation, Lord,

Ever leading the way.

May they see Your goodness

And long for Your touch.

Showing the way out of their distress,

Parting hedges so they see that You’re more than enough.

Let our lives show Your love,

Ushering hearts to You.

Your beautiful work from above

Revealed in truth.

Vessels to be used

In reaching the hurting, the lost.

Use us Lord, wholly devoted to You,

Parting hedges in the way of the cross.
