Butterfly Effect

Butterfly Effect

A Poem by Pilar Palombo

Maybe if she hadn’t stumbled
Splattering his new white shoes
He would have still loved her

Perhaps if he had taken longer
Explaining the Quantum Theory
She would have stuck around

What if they had both found a four leaf clover
To place atop their Jenga tower
In hope it would never fall
The jumbled song would regain its tune
Something could have lasted
The romance might've stayed in its cocoon

Amusing exercise in romantic chaos theory, the subtly unpredictable variables in the weather of love.

And even if a romance can't remain in its cocoon, it might've held on to its wings.

Witty poem stimulating many striking associations. . .

It's true, life in all its declinations (especially love) is often radically decided by casual decisions or events. Most of them we think to control expecting different outcomes, but so many times our intentions turn out to have been just the wrong inspiration. And when we realize it, it's already too late.
I also have to agree with Clockwork on the originality of the images, very good.

P.S.: thanks for your review. I hope to keep our correspondance alive.

Nice juxtaposition between the intellectual and the existential in life. I see the cocoon being a bad thing that would have kept her down and stopped her growth. Your images are very original.
