Touch

Touch

A Poem by Robin
"

sudden reminiscence

"
and there you were

a daydream in your delicate palm

I watched your eyes race the sky

and heard your sigh

as you fell to your knees

to the mirror of dark waters

beckoning a rainbow from sullen clouds

my Time machine

of crickets and songbirds

the summer wind , and a million stars

a music box

as the universe spun around us

brilliant and huge

this unknowing , this adventure we called love

between goddess and prince

a violin and bow

stillness

permeating silence

such are the secrets

of touch , and the sky

and the mandala

of her eyes ...

A wonderful exploration of love, relationships, nature and the harmony between them all. I've always struggled when writing about these sorts of things and I admire how you've done it, the delicate yet vivid images...A true joy to read :) thank you and well done..

Such key words - nature, and harmony . Thank you for reading Bertie

Your prose is so delicate, yet it packs quite an emotional punch...this was a truly beautiful piece on remembrance, perhaps of love lost? Extraordinary. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Wow, this is silk on the tongue. I'd take out the ellipses at the end and also in the second line, I'd change "your" to "a" or "the" I'm glad Steven recommended this to me.

Your ink has brought this to life, but only a knowing heart could recognize all this beauty as such. Love, love, ' mandala of her eyes', is there a more perfect phrase? Lovely.

Wow. I loved this. A seeing deeper into the moment. Wonder if it gets even a touch better by deleting "spun around us." Like using "as" to create a simile between music box and universe. Anyway, great write.

'A sudden reminiscence', a precious and unexpected moment that stayed long enough to create a tribute to a deep and very special love. You belong out there, where life is more or less what it seems.. but isn't. Beautiful.

A beautiful piece, one of those that makes a spirit like mine ruminate on the natural beauty around us (be it human or weather-related). You connect the rational to the natural with the simple mention of mandala. This denotes how symmetry can be found in the smallest of corners. Thank you for this, Robin.

Thank you for this insightful comment Kenneth , and the connection
This is marvelous Robin, I didn't expected anything else from a true seeer, and feeler of the universe. Neutral, perceiving, reflecting, gentle, and wise. A song to the heart, of those who need it. Always, a pleasure to be around you.

Your poems breathe Robin, no other way to describe it. They have a life of their own, complete with breath, pulse and mostly, a living heart.

This was exquisite, and if I could so elegantly describe that moment when I starting believing in fairy tales this is how it would be written, a perfect expression that plays on soul strings.

Stunning imagery involved here. A chance to recollect the dawn in all its beauty, the shards, complete for the moment. Just beautiful :) xox
