'come 'n share (Nature's glory)
Richard,
What a winsome tale! The sweetness of nature has leant itself just right to the Shakespearean style you've crafted. From breezes playing in walnut boughs to sparrows watching squirrels meanderings. Then a delightful touch from the entrance of distant train whistle. Last line"
Upon bare knees I kneel in grateful prayer,
inviting all my friends to come 'n share. "
To kneel in prayer knowing that simple things are best!
Loved this one.

Dig some more; we love it! Very timely: it's still summer, with the song of the cicadas, but fall is hinted at.

Always make as sure as you possibly can your work is right before it's posted, Roland … LOL!
Such a peaceful piece and true to its title. I enjoy the blissful tone it presents and the theme of nature and how God shares it with us. Great work!!

I'm glad you did some digging. This was the perfect sonnet for today. We are having our first feel of fall today. I sat outside this morning and watched the hummingbirds and squirrels dance through my yard. Lovely image of your walnut tee. Mine are oaks and pecan, but the feeling of communing with God through nature is the same. Thanks for sharing from your archives. Jan
