I know Why You Love Bubble Baths (adoration)

I know Why You Love Bubble Baths (adoration)

I know why you love bubble baths:

it’s the joy they bring,

the sly smile they leave

curling at the corners of your mouth --

playful, inviting, seductive,

as you slip slowwwly down …

water displacing just enough

so that liquid lips can lick you,

as feet, then hips, then stomach

submerge into frothy warmth,

eliciting a contented sighhh

as lathered fingers stretch

to caress those great peaks --

lingering, just above the surface.

And, standing at doorway's edge

(I, a silent unseen voyeur),

realize I’m jealous

of the bubbles kissing you,

of their shameless effort

to conspire with the soap,

the shampoo, and the water

to hold you …

for just a while longer.

I shouldn’t be jealous,

because in truth, we’re just the same.

I’m forever conspiring with Nature

to give me one more minute,

one more breath, one more kiss.

Oh, yes!

I know why you love bubble baths --

it’s for the same reasons

that for all these years,

I've loved You.

Bubble baths are truly enchanting. You are truly an expert in writing about any topic, salute to you! You add the right amount of sensuality for readers like me to feel tingles running down their spine. My favourite line: "
water displacing just enough
so that liquid lips can lick you," is so imaginative, you make it sound as if the bubble bath was a person having a nice time with the woman you love, adding personification ( I think !!) to a bubble bath is amazing, The last stanza :

" Oh, yes!
I know why you love bubble baths --
it’s for the same reasons
that for all these years,
I've loved You." : is heart touching, why does she love bubble baths? because of its enchanting and warming sensations, the same reason this person loves the woman. That is enough to make a persons heart melt. Truly a wonderful write!

The imagery being expressed in this cleverly woven piece is captivating. I couldn't help but notice how well the words flowed from line to line, as if they themselves were like water. Especially with many of the words containing the sultry "s" in them... slid pleasantly off the tongue.

I thoroughly enjoyed this piece!
