It was so wrong for this icon
On a crazy, inclement night, Her perfect voice was silenced On a tragic Tennessee flight She sang of after midnight walks, Of sweet dreams and falling to pieces And still each time I hear her voice My reverence for her increases She could make you feel every note In Faded Love and She's Got You The catch in her voice let us all know That she had lived those words, too Her mournful leaving was on everyone's mind, She still makes us feel so much Forever blessed we are to have known Her silken vocal touch
