Night Winds Whisper to Me

Night Winds Whisper to Me

A Poem by Rita L. Sev
"

Patsy Cline 1932-1963 Death cannot kill what never dies - love

"
It was so wrong for this icon
On a crazy, inclement night,
Her perfect voice was silenced
On a tragic Tennessee flight

She sang of after midnight walks,
Of sweet dreams and falling to pieces
And still each time I hear her voice
My reverence for her increases

She could make you feel every note
In Faded Love and She's Got You
The catch in her voice let us all know
That she had lived those words, too

Her mournful leaving was on everyone's mind,
She still makes us feel so much
Forever blessed we are to have known
Her silken vocal touch

I still get goosebumps when I hear her voice... Thanks, Dale.
i don't think there was a more gifted and more loved singer than patsy.....i often listen to her music, and you may be surprised to learn that a good many of her hits were actually penned by none other than willie nelson. my particular fave by her was "you belong to me"...this song sends me into a trance of romantic bliss. what a fitting and lovely tribute to an American icon. well penned!!!!!

This is a wonderful tribute for her! Here’s my tribute which you may keep as a gift:

Patsy Cline

Come in from eternity,
sing a country song for me,
through my ears let my eyes see
what you were in history.

Haha, I LOVE the poem, even though I wouldn't call myself a Patsy Cline fan.
