I Just Don't Know

Frieda's senryu brought this to mind...

Just what was in the mind of God

to make the platypus look so odd

And what on earth was he thinkin'

to make the skunk so awful-stinkin'?

The rat is ugly, as is the roach;

a slug's another I wouldn't approach.

I guess all critters just can't be

as pleasant and charming as the likes of me!

Haha Very clever! I read Frieda's poem, and I have to admitt that I found the creature oddly cute! Then again, I'm a strange one...I think the platypus is cute too! This was a fun piece, and I completley enjoyed it.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder thats for sure. Im pretty sure we are considered odd looking and mysterious to many creatures. Still, I have to say I am grateful I wasn't born a blob fish. LOL
