Guardian

Guardian

A Poem by Rita L. Sev
"

Look...

"

Morning clouds hover

weighing on my mind

and then a sunray spills

upon my shade

Protesting the glare,

I move on through the day

feeling my heart’s burdening

pervade

Walking darkened paths

the ends become obscure

sudden breaths of wind

caress my cheek

I brush away the kisses,

head bent against the gloom

intent on falling deeper

in the bleak

Then in the blackest moment,

the grimmest point of night

a winking in the heavens

grabs my eye

I gaze at this bright vision,

the tides within me turn

I hear redemption beckon

from on high

The steadfast loving hand

that reaches for the soul

wears no feathered wings

for ready flight

Our angels are more subtle,

only seen through eyes of faith ~

they’re in the sun ~ the wind ~

and in the starlight.

You are welcome...:)
Rita, it all waits for us to believe. This poem is amazing, you have shown this light in a new light, so to speak. Your words ring so very true. If we open our eyes we can see, if we open our minds we will know. Very cool my friend.

So much we could see and know, if our human nature didn't get in the way... Thank you so much, Jack!
Oh, I am soooooooo glad you posted this as I was just talking yesterday about the number of times my guardian angel must have helped me and I have never been aware of it - after sometimes giving heck for more things not working out and perhaps blaming my guardian angel in part for it, and then this morning I tripped on a step, and guess what? I only stumbled a little and I absolutely know my guardian angel kept me from falling on the brick sidewalk. I just know it!! So, I said a very, very big thank you to our Lord up above for giving me protection! This is just perfect for me today!!

Your poem is beautiful!! And so very appropriate my dear friend!!! And going in my favorite file!!

If we wait and are patient the light of hope will seek us out, but first you must believe:

I sure did Rita hope you and family have a great weekend.
Sad start, hopeful finish Rita, I thought what's up with Rita when I first starting reading this, but you restored my 'faith' in you my friend. Angels can be very subtle.

Ah, even optimists have their dark moments, Frieda... but we always find the light! Thank you!
Beautiful, if we would only look through eyes of faith at all times like you state this would be a better place.
