That is beautifully done. The clock speeding up as time slips by. Memories slipping down a drain. Oh the sad truth of how our memories slowly close off. Short, sweet, and sadly true.

I like the way the "ticks" are spaced at first, then quick and close together..just like time...

That was how the rain was sounding here yesterday - slow, a drizzle - then a fast deluge... like tim.. read more
what a perfect metaphor---the drops of life...splash against our sidewalk and are gone....and those memories go down the drain...but somehow...there is still standing water in our mind.

They do slip and slosh down the drain - just hope it doesn't get clogged at some point and we keep reliving the same events over and over and over. That's when to call in the plumber to clear our minds of those dang thoughts of yesterday that don't want to flow downstream!
Tick, tick, tick, tick, must not become that drip we don't want to hear.....lol
