A Valentine Tale

Lonely lady Sally Sue

she longed for Cupid’s dart;

she knew he’d come,

find her true love,

then shoot him in the heart

 

Then one chilly Valentine’s

she met her perfect match ~

his chestnut hair,

his chocolate eyes;

he surely was a catch

 

So sadly Sally Sue now sits

awaiting seraph’s arrow,

but Cupid’s headed nowhere fast;

he’s grounded due to snow
