Wake Up, Little Susie

Fast asleep she is today

I’ve tried so many ways to rouse

She opens up a fluttered lid

Returning quickly to her drowse

 

I’m waiting patiently for her

to finish that refreshing  snooze

in hopes that floods of vivid dreams

will awake my sleeping Muse
