LOL Oh it's great for the Universe, it's my balance I'm worried about ;)
well done Rita; thought provoking and inspiring at the same time ... this is a wonderful time in the Catholic Church and tho not a member I am always humbled and reminded of our place on the earth .. as well as God's Son Jesus Christ ...
"I sweep the dust
under the rug,
where it smolders." really gets me .. beautiful!

Thank you, E - yes, I always feel more connected to my faith during Lent... So glad this resonated.
This is a great example of simple and effective poetry. You sweep the embers under the mat and feel the smoldering only to burn and destroy at some point, but rather create an existence, an entity from them and rise.
