Weird story here... There have been quite a few bear sightings around here lately. Apparently, one guy decided to hand-feed one of his ursine guests, published pics on social media, and was arrested... When discussing this with my family, we got to talking about the only bears one should have in their garden, the decorative kind which, according to my mother, wear polka dotted bloomers... Ok, so this is the kind of stuff that gets in my head! LOL!

Oh wow. this is hilarious! I love the vivid picture I now have a bear, wearing polka dotted shorts and playing various sports, seeking his food in trash cans! You expressed this comical piece with excellent fluidity! Thank you for sharing and keep up the good work. Please return the favor by reviewing one of my pieces.

This is often how my mind works - happy you got a smile! Thanks!
I’m always finding strange animals romping about in my little garden as they look of goodies. I was inspire to write this tiny mono-rhyme gift poem for you:
Phaedra Bear
Phaedra was a garden bear.
As a cub, we found her there
underneath a garden chair
nibbling on a tasty pear.
Her mom left her in our care.
We gave her a dress to wear
lest she romp about all bare
making our new neighbors stare.

Ha! This made me smile - I think Phaedra and Pedro would make a cute couple :) Thanks, Aethereal!
I would love to meet Pedro, but I would not feed him. I don't know what the laws here are about feeding wild animals...raccoons regularly come in through the pet door to eat my catood...

Cute poem Rita. Bears are cute until you do something to piss one off, then, well, It's not pretty. There's a steep fine around these parts for feeding alligators and some people still screw with them. My philosophy is if it's mouth is bigger than your head, it's not a pet.
Giggling here thinking of a bear wearing polka dotted boxer shorts! This is such a cute write, but the thought of bears in my backyard would scare the polksa dotted boxers right off me! Love the rhyming and rhythm of this one. Lydi**

Haha cute Rita, bears scare the bejaysus out of me, there's quite a few where my son lives surrounded by wooded area, they make a mess, get into garbage cans no matter how you batten down the hatches. I like where you took one...stick to the polka dots! :)

Very comical Rita, it holds a true story as well… like most stray animals on any kind if you feed them you can never get rid of them, we ended up with bout 8 cats once cause my mom would always put food out for them… a very entertaining and fun read.

Cats are better than bears, I'd say... ;) Thanks, Dale!

Yes you are right there, with one exception… if the bears names are Yogi and Boo Boo
I have seen those bears come so close when I visited Gattlinburg, TN at the edge of the Smokies. They come close to cabins and people. This was wonderful and bit whimsical...:)..................
