Nature of the Beasts

Nature of the Beasts

A Poem by Rita L. Sev
"

...

"
The Burmese python snacks on goats
while spiders ingest flies,
lions wolf down antelope;
Aunt Edna scarfed the pies

Black bears feed on scaly fish,
coyotes munch on fox,
monsters dine on little kids,
the Maytag eats your socks

In case you've ever wondered
about creatures' chosen feasts,
it's just inborn behavior ~
it's the nature of the beasts!

A funny one, Rita, very well written. Hmmm, now I know what happened to my lemon-sponge pie!

"Just my nature" sounds so much better than "The Devil made me do it..." Thanks, Jacob!
