2) Idle Victim

2) Idle Victim

A Poem by Marshall Schoth
"

This poem is inspired by Henry David Thoreau who said, "Most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with the song still in them."

"
The prosperity of purpose
Paramount in each person
Fighting to free itself
Struggling to be seen
Deafened by practicality
Blinded by fear
Empowered by the cracks in conformity
But conformity has thick skin
It finally rests, untapped
Trapped six feet under
