HER UNIVERSE

HER UNIVERSE

A Poem by Red Rose

The sun turned cold,
And the moon burnt over.
The stars faded,
And black holes surged forward.
She reached up high,
And touched the black water.
It trickled down to her heart,
Her universe's fragmented disaster.

I also like this (w)rite RR. There is more than one direction your words could be heading, but I feel every possible direction originates from one core and source. 'Feeling little within one's solitary self' and it doesn't matter why or what transpired to get you there. Feelings such as this poem reminds me of, happen when our inner child-like persona curls up into a ball and simply wants to hide from life's bombardment. It's not negative or necessarily positive, and yes life's ceiling can be interrupted as 'black water' looming over one's mental and cognitive state. The human heart can be strong and it can be easily hurt and re-hurt, usually by our own hand reaching out to retest the murky depths before we have fully allowed our heart to heal. It is only a 'fragmented disaster' for as long as you choose to view your universe that way. Like I said, there is more than one direction possible here. Perhaps you were feeling little for just a day out of pure psyche exhaustion, or your working on overcoming something much deeper within your heart. (:

I really love the imagery in this piece, it paints a very vivid picture of the tumultuous feelings that have been present in all of us from time to time.
