Colonos

Colonos

A Poem by Silhouettic

How’s the view?
It must be something spectacular
to see the world from that perspective.
No-one else could possibly have the chance
our necks aren’t meant to bend that way
but you pulled it off.
Must’ve been desperate to see,
what was on the inside.
Does the sun still shine
or is the bulb broken?
Because I could never see the glow
that you claim is your right to
hold your head above the rest of us.
Because in all reality you’re eyeball
deep, but your nose plug confidence
has kept you swimming
amongst the roses.

Author's Note

Silhouettic
The title Colonos is just the word Colonoscopy but missing four letters. This poem is about people who have their heads so far up their own asses that they think they're better than everyone around them for no apparent reason other than they feel as if they were born royalty. Anyways, enjoy!
