Lucifer's Children

A lost idea that inspired a much better one. Includes some background.

Background

In the future of the universe, Satan and his demon army waged war against God and his angels. The fight was sudden and bloody. The demonic army wiped out the angels and imprisoned God. Just as the devil was about to take his place as king of the universe, the humans rose up, as one, to defeat him. However, the army of Hell was strong and ready. They fought for years upon end until a small group of humans, in secret, searched for God’s cage. When they found it, they were able to release him. However, he was without his angels and could do little against an entire army of demons. However, he was able to fend off the devil, though not send them back to Hell. Instead, they took up their own plane, called Aresia. Throughout many years, the demons tried to invade the humans world, but, without the same strength as before and now against the power of God, they could not get very far. Instead, they sent a plague across the world, a plague the humans called The Night. When one was inflicted with The Night, they would become what is called a Daemon. There were a number of different species, each with their own trait that would come from the afflicted.

North Daemon

Long teeth/claws, skin turns white, eyes turn ice blue, snow leopard's tail, some white fur

Intelligent, quick-thinking, sometimes cruel, seemingly emotionless

Freezing things and speed

Pit Daemon

Long claws/tongue, skin turns red and tough, eyes turn black, dragon tail/wings, horns/spikes

Hot-headed, energetic,

Heat,

True Nightmare

Sharp teeth/claws, skin turns dark purple and sharp, eyes turn red, forked tail/tongue, horns, claw-like wings, may become tall and slim

Dark thoughts, not much else known

Shadows

Hurricane Daemon

Skin turns dark blue and soft, eyes turn gray, long limbs, reptilian tail, fins

Introverted, inattentive, impulsive

Breathing underwater and can call storms

Lost Nightmare

skin turns dark green, sometimes with yellow stripes, eyes turn red, some have horns, some have leaves,

 

I can't say I remember this idea very well, but I do say that it's an interesting one. Actually, its very similar to an idea that I will present later, with its dealings with "nightmares" and humans turning into horrific creatures. I don't know if I ever had a plot for this one, I don't even remember writing it. All I know is that the Google Doc was about seven months old.
