Scatterbrain

A Poem by In Em's Wonderland

Scatterbrain.
He wants to know
beyond the basics.
Sometimes questions swirl
in my brain like a tornado.
I know little
in my highs & lows.

To not be caught walking
in a gray cloud
set for us by time.
The dizzying height
calling me in.
The mind is no fairground ride.
There is no song
for a complicated knot.

Life is filled to the brim day by day by day. Not yours, only a list scribbled with things that must be done.. but nowhere says, 'Take a breath, gaze at the clouds, look at distance between you and somewhere you want to be..

' The mind is no fairground ride.
There is no song
for a complicated knot. '

That knot has to be loosened. That knot has to be ignored. That or you will end up that knot and finish the hours without choices. More than likely! (I know the thoughts behind this wonderful post)

Debate this poem..

the last three lines are so impactful...life for me feels like this...the absent minded professor...
the complicated knot...
it loosens badly sometimes.
