Eerie Shadows

Eerie Shadows

A Poem by SyberRose

Dark shadows in the wind ~ haunting in the breeze

The night in disguise ~ creeping in black chemise

Shadows dance until morning ~ then dance with the sun

Thunder and lightning ~ play in the rain like a drum

Grey wolves howl at the moon ~ and the night stalks again

Whispers in the darkness ~ are voices of legends when

Eyes scope the night ~ behind moonlight they embark

But whose eyes are they in the eeriness of the dark?

what a profound imagery, beautifully woven. You are great at selecting images as well.

It is always fun adding images...thank you for peeking in:)
Yes seems some times the dark plays with mind and imagination..some times they are real though.

thank you dear...glad you love it:)
for some the images and sounds you create here might be scary/eerie...to me they are romantic...

it is the sound of nature, of the wolves mating of the night mating with nature..

i love this.

i am there in your scene, listening.

Something different....But the moon is always there.By your brilliant and very apt phrases you create the mood of the poem .....eerie.You have moved away from romantic writes to try something different and have done equal justice..........Enjoyed reading this poem as much......

Eerie but nice flow to read with the rhyme scheme. With that eye creepy it seems.

haa...thank you Ency... yes the creepy eye...:)
Lovely images well structured. I read this and was transported to a mysterious lover - in disguise, creeping in the black chemise, a love hidden at night but unknown and perhaps unknowable. ah, the secrets of the night.

An enticing flow as the poem progress, both verbally and rhythmically. Another great job, and much enjoyed.
