My Own Side

My Own Side

A Poem by TheJordBaker
"

re-crafting past emotions. I'm sure we've all been there.

"

I’ve fallen painfully in love
and wake up by my own side
wondering what you’re doing and
if I cross your gorgeous mind.

When my dreams come to an end
my heart begins to slide-
I laced your faultless fingers and
you gave that ‘we know’ smile.

I felt our lips peel apart
and looked into your eyes,
whispered your love is safe with me,
woke and bled inside.

I see some references to another poem of yours and I like that you are "recrafting" work to see where you want to take it. If you want my opinion, I really like the other one better. This is nice, but the other was a real winner in my mind.

Keep on doing what you do. Your very, very good. :)
