If Heaven Had A Phone...

If Heaven Had A Phone...

A Poem by Caitlin

If Heaven Had A Phone...
I'd never stop calling. Just to hear your voice one more time would be a symphony to my ears.
To hear how you chuckle when you laugh.
To tell you how much I love you and that I miss you.

If Heaven Had A Phone...
My phone-bill will be unpayable from the endless conversations I'd have with you.
To tell you how I've been and that you shouldn't worry about me.
To tell you all the good and bad things that have been going on in my life since you've been gone.

If Heaven Had A Phone...
I'd stop seeing my Therapist as your voice is the only therapy I need.
When something bad happens, I wish I could talk to you about it, as you were the only one who truly comforted me.
You were the only one who made my pain go away.

If Heaven Had A Phone...
I'd never stop calling. Just to hear your voice one more time would be a symphony to my ears.
To hear how you chuckle when you laugh.
To tell you how much I love you and that I miss you.

I'd say all the things I didn't have the time to say before you left.

Heaven should have at least text, right? And COFFEE. Maybe there is a Starbucks up there too. Seriously, great concept. My mind was going everywhere wondering who, of all I know are there, that I would call first. The subject here already knows who they want to talk with, desperately. Well written, thanks for posting. Very thought provoking.

Wow. This was really beautiful and also very moving. It made me think of all of the things I would say to ones that I have lost as well. This is an interesting perspective and yes...we should be able to talk to them.

Oh my, this taps the heart and mind so that my minor problems melt into a puddle. Your words are so... real, honest... courageous in a heart-given way. Won't ramble on the style, it's more than fine and the way in which you've set our the phrases is more than beckoning. What really matters is, that having read this again, I won't forget the way it's touched me start to finish. Guess i understand how it goes, even though we fly another path in that distance between.. us and.. love.

If Heaven had a phone, if only...

me too :) keep writing
When someone is lost, there is a feeling of nothingness that just never goes away. No matter how hard you run away it follows a step behind forever. This piece brought tears. I like the repetition. Good job.
