Saddened

Saddened

A Poem by Tony Jordan
"

Reporting an unbelievable inhuman attack on a donkey

"
The whole village repulsed
Parents deeply ashamed
"How could this be true? Our child...?"
Rabies contracted - god help the rabies!

Only the donkey was put down.

The topic at hand is quite mind-blowing! We here in the boondocks have a running joke about this particular pastime, but I thought it was only a joke! Your poem is nicely sarcastic & could be a metaphor for all the ways a victim gets blamed! *sheesh!* (((HUGS)))

Tragic and profoundly sad.
"Pieces of a*s" comes to mind but I have neither the heart, nor the stomach, to complete such a "joke."
Thoroughly depraved behavior!--the sort that once brought on "The Great Flood!"

Thanks for this uplifting start to my day of rest Tony! Perhaps in some parallel universe fifteen donkeys might be exacting revenge.

Thank you Alan.
O.M.G. Out of such an incredibly horrible story you have managed to write a powerful statement of victim blaming. I am without any more words.

Blame the victim....always happens, doesn't it? Sort of a gross premise in this one, but you get the point across well. Lydi**

Raping a rabid donkey is about as hard-up as any human can get.
Still, the donkey may have been slumming.
God save us!
