Chapter 3: Jealousy

Saku felt as if she could cut the tension in the air with a knife… Both Kim Ji-Hoon and Tsuyoi were worked up… She knew that she should probably do something, but she didn’t know what she could do… The two were standing face to face, irritation and anger seeping from each guy’s pores… Saku couldn’t stand it… she didn’t even know why Ji-Hoon was reacting like this… she understood why Tsuyoi would, seeing that he liked her and everything… but what about Kim Ji-Hoon? He obviously knew that standing before him was her tennis partner and close friend… so he didn’t have any reason to be protective… there was really no reason to be annoyed or irritated… except for the fact that Saku had to work so late… and the Intelligent B*****d comment…

-Kim Ji-Hoon smirked

“Best insult you could let out?”

-Tsuyoi huffed

“I have a list of insults that I will not reveal in front of Saku…”

-Silence followed

-Saku decided to step in

“Come on guys… it’s late and I want to relax… and Ji-Hoon, did you leave your cousins all alone at home?”

-Kim Ji-Hoon held Tsuyoi’s glare as he calmly replied

“Amai is there…”

-Saku sighed

“Well, we should get going then… I don’t want to have Amai going home late…”

-Kim Ji-Hoon glanced at her… Saku was almost afraid he would make a smart retort… but all he did was glare at Tsuyoi and move to pick up Saku’s Japanese Koto and violin

-Saku took the opportunity to hug Tsuyoi

“Look, I’m happy to see you… we should hang out while you’re here… I’m dying for a tennis match against you…”

-Tsuyoi sighed, and then he patted her head

“Alright, I will be here for a week, then I have to leave… so… I’ll see you later…”

-Saku smiled and turned, only to feel Tsuyoi’s hand on her shoulder and hear him whisper next to her ear

“Don’t let him try anything on you, okay? If he gets too close then sock him… If he even looks at you weird… then slap him… Don’t let him take advantage of you… or I swear he will never see the light of day again…”

-Saku gawked at him as he smirked and waved, walking away calmly… like there was no problem just now…

“Tsuyoi Sempai… you are so unbelievable…”

-Saku jumped when she felt something fall around her shoulders

-She realized that Ji-Hoon had draped his jacket over her and was already walking away

-Saku ran to catch up

“You know, it really isn’t that cold out…”

-Ji-Hoon looked back at her

“You’ll catch cold if you go around in dresses like that… you need to stay warm…”

“… Thanks…”

 

The two walked in silence and when they arrived home, they were greeted by Amai in the kitchen…

-Saku hung Ji-Hoon’s jacket up while he set her instruments down in his room

-Saku walked into the kitchen to greet Amai

“What are you doing?”

-Amai turned and smiled

“Cooking you some dinner… how was the restaurant?”

“Wonderful… I really got one hell of a raise… did Seo-Hyun and Hyun-Woo go to sleep already?”

“Yup… it didn’t take too long… I fed them and then gave them a glass of warm milk… they were out like a light…”

-Amai emptied the contents of the pot he was cooking in into a waiting bowl

-He looked towards the living room and Saku suddenly saw a glint in his eyes… a small, mischievous smile spread across his face

-Saku stared in confusion…

 

“Why the hell… does he suddenly look so troublesome…?”

 

-She was surprised when Amai suddenly hugged her

“Amai, what are you doing?”

“I wanted to greet you properly.”

-Saku felt a shiver rush down her spine when Amai’s hands slid down her back and rested on her waist

“… Amai…?”

-Amai pulled back and kissed her on the head

“Come on and eat, I bet you’re starving!”

-Picking up the bowl, Amai herded her into the dining room

-Saku barely had enough time to see Kim Ji-Hoon watching from the living room

-Amai sat her down and pushed the bowl in front of her

-He suddenly started to spoon feed her the contents

-Saku took the first spoon

“I can eat on my own you know…”

-Amai winked and held up another spoon… mouthing, “Just work with me…”

-She tilted her head, but complied with Amai’s wish, continuing to eat from his hand

-He smiled

“You really look pretty in that dress… and you shouldn’t wear make-up… it totally ruins that beautiful face of yours.”

-Saku swallowed and smirked at Amai

“You are so flirting with me right now…”

-Saku was catching on to what Amai was doing… although she didn’t understand what kind of reaction he hoped Ji-Hoon would exert from all of this

-Amai leaned closer

“And what if I am?”

-She countered with a playful smile, realizing that Kim Ji-Hoon was close enough to notice everything that was going on but far away to make it seem like he was uninterested

“Then you should know I’m really difficult and stubborn… I would be a terrible girlfriend…”

-Amai chuckled

“Isn’t that so much better? It means that you can stand up for yourself and won’t drop at my feet every time I greet you. And you won’t take any bull crap from anyone. It means that you’re tough…”

-Saku suddenly got the perfect idea that would totally surprise Amai and Kim Ji-Hoon

-She leaned closer and whispered seductively, narrowing her eyes and smiling softly

“So you won’t mind if I get rough at night?”

-At that comment Amai was speechless… he gulped nervously and his cheeks flushed and Saku found herself laughing hard

“Oh Kami-Sama… Ahaha… You’re expression is priceless!!!”

-She heard Kim Ji-Hoon stifling his laughter and running towards the bathroom

-He obviously picked up on what they were doing… and his reaction: Completely Amused

-Amai chuckled when the bathroom door closed

“D****t… You just had to, didn’t you…?”

-Saku began to shovel the rest of the food into her mouth, feeling starved

“Haha… I’m sorry, but it was such a perfect opportunity… Were you trying to make Kim Ji-Hoon jealous?”

“… Yeah… but I’ll explain that to you later… when he isn’t around… I did get the reaction from him that I wanted though… until you decided to catch me off guard…”

-Saku blushed

“I’m sorry… but I want to know what you were up to very soon… and you should get home soon before it gets to be really late…”

-Amai smiled and took the now empty bowl into the kitchen, calling over his shoulder

“I’m staying for the night!”

“You better make sure he doesn’t go and beautify you while you are sleeping!!”
