Self, Questioning

Self, Questioning

A Poem by Whitney Kleinhuizen
"

Something that came to me in a random moment.

"

Lungs, burnt;
Smoking in a comfort, too much in too little of time
Finding no relief

Muscles, aching;
Nights spent on my knees, bent over
Ridding myself of calories while looking for release

Head, foggy;
Heavy and in a haze as sleep drugs overtake
Full of so much yet unable to form a singular thought

Body, cold;
Hands that turn blue and purple feet
A form that seems to be forever freezing

War, waging;
Always one against the self
Attempting to kill inner demons, only to be destroyed from inside out

Where does it end?
When does it stop?
Will it ever, before Death arrives?

Questions left unanswered, ones only time can ever reveal
I'm left to face yet another day, a day
    Of questioning.
    Of wondering.
    Of waiting.

I never seen a poem done like this before, but I liked it. Last part is the worst for me, I always question, wonder, and wait. Great job!

I absolutely love the setup of this poem. It keeps the flow right even though it's such a unique flow. It works perfectly. It's deep and it's beautifully written. As always, great job. (:
