Slit-Wristed and Redheaded

Slit-Wristed and Redheaded

A Poem by A. V. Madison
"

I warn you, you have to read through the whole piece of writing to understand it.

"

Quite frankly I'm just a little sick of people in general.

I'm just a little tired that I can't walk to Wal Mart without someone staring.

I can't be a best friend without someone caring

I can't be a good citizen without someone laughing

I've given up hope in a heaven

I've sold my soul to the devil

Fore he is the only one who cares

I've slapped a couple angels

I've cut my wrist a couple times

I've capitvated myself in a shower of sins

It seems like my anger is only one that wins.

I feel your pain. I can relate to every word of this. Please know that I do not think anything bad about you. FRom what I can tell youre a sweet, caring, talented, smart, beautiful, amazing girl. All those people...theyre just jealous of you and your talents.

Well if they are...its not true. Dont believe them. Your very welcome hun.
I have written so many pieces similar to this, but none quite as blunt and straight to the piont. If this is what you can do off the top of your head then theres definately something there for you to work with and possibly become something really amazing.

Could it be that you are tired of people around you making judgments, about you? Those people who sneer and laugh at you without the courtesy of even trying to get to know who you real are.

Take it from one who has lived the bullied and judged life. The power of your own spirit is all that counts. Use your writing, not as an escape, but as the talent that is it for making words form into ideas and visions. You have the gift. I see it in just the two pieces I have read.

You're angry with stereotypes, or at least it comes off that way... Sort of. it's confusing but it an interesting way. I love the title and the line, 'I've capitvated myself in a shower of sins'. Very emotional piece and one I can relate to!
