Blue Tears

Blue Tears

A Poem by WillaDanvers
"

Sometimes we forget how to express our emotions, and I know how terrible that can be for relationships. Never forget that it's okay to feel the way you are, and it's okay to talk about it too!

"

Waiting for the door to close,

Sighing with relief when you’re gone,

Letting the tears fall silently,

Wondering what happened to our song,

Started with a cheerful smile,

Falling into a sad lullaby,

Waiting for the door to close,

And watching the time go by,

Hating herself for letting you leave,

Without showing her true colours,

Falling silently against the floor,

Gripping onto this pain of hers,

Wishing you could love her back,
Need her the same way she does,

Won’t say a word to your face,

She hates to make a fuss,

Those words you say are just words,

They are nothing without the actions,

Leaving her wondering why she is alone,

The only one making this love transaction,

Changing from loving her to loving you,

Losing herself in this relationship,

Realizing she is lost a little too late,

Tears settling on her bottom lip,

Hoping her lungs stop breathing tonight,

Slipping away from all of this pain,

Knowing she could never leave you,

Not without going insane,

This broken heart watching that door close,

Knowing you are walking away,

Unaware of the pain in her tears,

Wondering if it will always be this way.

a beautiful piece you feel very deeply but approach it analytically and that comes across in your work. most people can't get the intellectual distance to do what you do. It is a really cool trick and something I aim for though seldom accomplice in my own work. sometimes I think poetry means something later by the lives it touches more than the words no matter how hard we struggle to make something significant. Then I read one of your poems and wish I was sane or deserved the pleasure of your work. On the days when you hit your stride like with this piece, I fell like I am reading Emily Dickinson write a poem from an alternate universe where her life was like an episode of Gilmore Girls.

Left thinking here, if only people communicated in a more meaningful way. It is the things unsaid and undone, that kill a relationship. Sad poem, nicely conveyed lines with a universal theme many will relate to.
