Looks like rain

I collect words in buckets,

overflowing phrases

and saturated sentences fall

from imaginary skies

 

Puddles of pristine prose

fill in the counted cracks

of this rhyme dampened

sidewalk of verse

 

Stormed stanzas and

drizzled descriptions

turn tears to chocolate kisses,

sunsets into thunderstorms

 

Pouring on a page,

once dry, now drenched

in rainbow arched metaphors

on this candy coated cloudy day

 

It is raining poetry

and I could not be happier

 

I believe I will use these words

to write something for you

This is definitely a favourite...even though it is bittersweet, there's a positive vibe to this one that I was happy to see...rain is without question the official weather of poetry, and you've worked the metaphor to perfection here...for me personally, there's also a correlation between rain and tears, which is probably obvious to some degree in light of the majority of my themes...you did a masterful job of turning it into something optimistic here though...I'm still too melancholy to even want to attempt that haha Awesome work here though will...love this one.
