Miles Apart

The story is: Someone asked me to write for him, and it came in no moments. That says, it's just what I feel... when the distance between us is too much to be tempted with touch...

When I look into your eyes-

When I feel to look into your eyes in my dream,

They burn the doubts

Those arise in my heart when you’re not around.

I try to curve your face with the ash

But my memories are not enough,

My dreams are not that pure,

For your love is so real to me.

For my trust is so real to you.

So I wake up.

Silently goes the night

And dark

And bright with the fresh moonlight,

I stare at the starless moonlit sky

And I feel you-

Miles apart.

Sleeping peacefully in a lone room.

The moon, may be, touches your face,

Brushes your hair,

The wind perhaps plays with your fingers.

Oh, how envy do I feel!

And I will keep this poison

In the core of my heart,

Until the voyage ends,

Unless the ocean of time is crossed,

And I reach you-

Miles apart.

I didn't look at any reviews - yet - truth, the work is - it really IS, flawed. BUT that is ok because it has this aura of REAL. And its the realness that I hear and listen to with my fourth reading. No one LIKES flaws BUT for this one they seem earned and acceptable.

Another great poem but this time about devotion and long distance relationship. I really liked the way you structured you chose and the indirect style that you took. You were able to express the doubt and fear that comes with such a relationship. But the burning, pining devotion is still there. Great Job, I really enjoyed reading this!
