~Under the Spell

 In that night;

I couldn’t  see anything,

But only feel the

The wet casings of

Dense molecules,

Formed into an emulsion

And this compactness all around me;

In that day after;

I dwelled on the surface of

Nothing, between salt, and

Sea life I was;

I heard turbid noises,

Far away an intoxication of modernity

I was one, but only one with the mass...

In the next minute;

The silent slice of life

Moved through my being,

The suffocating glamour

Of a kiss mouth to mouth;

Danced within this white hole

Of memory; for now,

I awoke on land

In the next day;

I soaked in the air, like I was an amphibian,

Delightfully graced with my second life;

This cold, like thin freedom in your lungs,

The light in your eyes; “overexposed”

But the warm arm around your neck

And the smell of ozon…

Eli dear, you have a masterful write here. I love the mystic stories. I felt like I was hearing the song of the mermaids here... Now don't eat me please. ;)

One word seemed out of place. "I awaked" might be better *I awoke*
Loved this poem Eli and the music was perfectly combined to lift your words higher within the soul.

Your poems and fantasy/mystical writes always amaze me, Eli! This one required several readings, too. I think there is so much symbolic meaning and depth to them that a single read won't do them justice!

The story, however, reminded me very much of "The Little Mermaid," particularly "I dwelled on the surface of/Nothing, between salt/and sea life I was." There is so much I could say and so many things I could analyze, but the poem is magical in its own right, and I'd know it was yours even if your name weren't on it.

You are blessed to have access to such a magical world - don't ever close the door!

Thank you so much my friend, for a great review, I'm so pleased you enjoy my stuff. :)
So beautiful, as though floating in a dream above the scene you have so gracefully created with lovely images and emotions. Stunning, stunning poetry

We are witness to a mystical and lovely metamorphosis in this poem; the sensual value of the words and the dream-like tableau they support create a palpable boundary between the readers' world and the one created as we read. Very lovely and enigmatic. And for what it's worth: awakened instead of awake -- but awoke might be just fine.

Thank you very much :)
A very mystical write. I enjoyed reading this, and I thought it was interesting how you wrote "In that night;" and "In that day after;" and so on. It really contributed to the story you were telling.
And also, I love the image you chose before the poem. It's filled with mystery.
