~ Energy

Under the sunset in our vision,

And some shadows of the grapes,

I felt your warmth, upon my skin;

You smelled like dusty earth mixed

With my old volcanic soil,

The cemetery was flowered

With cherry blossom,

But only we could see the

Other side so green,

You embraced my soul, and life,

With your dead smile embroiled in

Beauty,

               You knew me, as I you…

Your dark hair

Danced down my cheeks

With the help of the wind,

And our bones became one…

I am stunned. This is gorgeous. I agree. lol Perfectly done!! The visuals and romantics lol are to die for. Such beautiful energy felt here while engaged in this story of two dead lovers. Soul-mates.

Under the sunset in our vision,
And some shadows of the grapes,

I felt your warmth, upon my skin;

The beginning is so powerful, setting the air for the depth it precedes. The idea of the dust mixing. Being at last complete. Looking with eager eyes at the other side while in each other arms.. Wow! This poem is perfect Elisa. Truly xx

Lol ok and thank you. And you are very welcome.
A poet I know and like, this is evocative, rich with imagery, finely paced, to put it simply, an excellent poem.

This is beautiful!
Bittersweet and lovely imagery
I love the last line too. A great, 'resonating' way to finish this piece

No worries - you're welcome :)
Such a haunting melody that fits so well with your words. This was an entire exprience, and perhaps in my current state of mind I am more attuned to the words behind your words, but for me this was an emotional ride. There is always such power in your writing, but you do it with a succinct grace.

Thanks for your trust and patience my friend... your words are magic.
Heavy sigh! Such a bittersweet romantic write, Elisa. Deep emotions arranged so beautifully on the page and the accompaniment you chose is, as always, the perfect one. This is going into my library. It is far too beautiful to read just once. Lydi**
