~ Paradise

I air kissed you, from afar,

     My hand upon my mouth,

  My love, I did reach out;

And well dear, to your land,

I lived in a dream for way too long,

      In darkened visions, of you and me;

      Now the day is here;

  I arrived in our Paradise,

The fields of hope, and trust

Nothing is more intense,

     To smell your skin, to touch your hair;

   And to burn with you to dust

Timeless, ethereal feel. Maybe its the music but you remind me of Arwen from Lord of the Rings in your expression of that passion.

'my love, I did reach out; and well dear, to your land' captures your way of speaking so nicely, your soft maternal instinct for this lover. It makes you feel close. the 'to burn with you to dust' line, I can picture tears streaming down Arwen's face as she looks at the relic of Striders bust, condemned to immortality. This is the most powerful montage in the Award Winning Trilogy that I was raised on, so don't take that complement lightly!

Neatly, unfolding poem........it speaks a lot about the capacity of the mind, when reading something like this:

It's so usual for me to be thinking more about the mind which has put the such poem together, than the writing itself......that's the loveliest sort of writing Elisa.

Thank you so very much for your encouriging words... truly appreciated :)
I can see the blend of emotions. I loved the opening line, it is fresh and unique. I liked "fields of hope" too... reminded me of the song "Fields of Gold" by Sting, as well as a very pleasant bus journey in the German countryside more than five years ago....
The last lines had power in them. The poem grows in intensity towards the end, which is a big positive for this write. I liked the accompanying painting as well.

Not to be a grammar Nazi, but line 3 should be "I did reach out" ...

Overall, I enjoyed it! Thanks!

The nearness of two hearts beating for one another must be felt as incredibly intense after having been separated by a great distance for long, I can imagine. There is only you and him, in the midst of Paradise, where lovers bond. Very romantic, Elisa :) Another beauty.

I shall mail you a thing.... about this..... xx
The protagonist in the poem might be describing a successful gathering of the mate she desired by blowing a kiss wish that transforms into a comfortable reality, satisfied until their temperature consumes their flesh into ashes and their spirits rise to Heaven from intimacy.

I hope I get near to the interpretation of the poem is about Raven Sis because your artwork is complete and there is much concise. These parts of your poem

"My hand upon my mouth"

could be interpreted as a disclosure of one's desire

"And to burn with you to dust"

as eternal marriage on earth, also as a metaphor of paradise.

The one rhyming line is where the genius hit me. The poem itself was very straightforward and moving by itself but as I read the last line I truly felt the love expressed in this piece. Perfection.

Hello! and thank you so much Stefanie, truly appreciated seeing you here. :)
To rise from the ashes... a new.. drenched in romance...to burn with you is
more then poison and the dagger even Romeo would agree.
4.6 billion years from dust to love only seems right to return from dust to dust
I kiss you from my shadow dear writer and share this air..

Distance can tug two apart in absolute din, yet paradoxically it is a kind of burning that can keep the closeness of lovers.

And I I felt the burning yearning in your words, my Dear Eli.
