Me VS. The Monsters

  I feel like a little girl 

  Again-afraid to go

  To sleep alone. 

  I am terrified of the

  Monsters that hide

  Under my bed.

  The demons that lurk

  Inside my head

  Alarm me. 

  I need you beside me,

  To hold me and protect

  Me from the nightmares.

  But you aren't here.

  It is me against the

  Monsters.

Good poem! I liked how it flowed. I remember when I was afraid of the monsters under my bed. You took that emotion that I felt and put it in a poem. Good job!

I always somewhat say, 'never stand alone, but you are alone when it comes to what's in your head unvoiced,' you have to voice it openly with someone to ever be comforted, otherwise how will they know in the slightest hint as to how you truly are hurting?

It was so sweet. I just so loved it so much. It was a yearning to have someone with you but as he left you felt so alone. So tragic and yet romantic at the same time.
