At least Boris didn't call vivid a hoax even as thousands died! Donald was the most incompetent president this nation has ever seen. It breaks my heart to know that all it would take is one good shove in the wrong direction. I feel that a dictator is so close to power. But a drifter with a family is powerless even to run. How can otherwise educated people be so blind and stupid?

The scariest part of current events is that we really don't even know who is pulling the strings for Joe Biden., who on any day wouldn't even know what day it never mind win a election and run a country We did have a great leader from 2016 to 2020 and it took the previous disaster to get him to run. This current Presidency is bad enough so that I am certain that President Trump will run and win again for the third time.

Alan, when we "read" the men and women (in Washington, DC), we read mostly lies and BS. Frankly, I don't trust any of them. Both parties buy those who wear their labels. It's just different lies from different mouths. Trump is the center of attention now. He's easy to dislike, but he's only one of hundreds in DC who don't deserve our respect.

I read and hear their words and see very little truth. I don't believe, however, this is just an American thing. Your poem is universal, maybe just more relevant to the US at this moment. Thanks for sharing this one.

Thanks Rania. I would say 'read' the man, meaning judge if he can be trusted. If you can trust him his words will be honest. By the way I think women are more likely to be trusted.

Nicely put Sir. No matter what a person writes, it doesn't necessarily (thank you spellcheck) mean it is either factual or fiction, but like favourite authors, we read on and can build a picture of what they are about by the snapshots we read and that is why they become favourites, where the rest find their way to the remainder bin.
Thankfully, most people don't judge me as delusional, just because i have written fourteen penguin poems, six of which where both invisible and neon.
NO, they read my other stuff and come to that conclusion naturally 😀
Ps... I'm actually reviewing between reworking one of them, so look out for more people disappearing from my friends list 😀

Thank for your very true words Lorry. In my case I do use quite a bit of personal experience in writing but I quite often write in the first person which confuses. Who the hell are we anyway ? I am not Sparticus!

This amazingly brief poem incites a f****n' riot in my heart. I want to spiel, baby! It's so f****n' painful to watch how 40% of this country munches down pure bullshit without questioning it, without asking, where is this person coming from? what does he/she have to gain? what is his/her angle? No, they just respond with pure emotion, gut-level passion for whatever the hell this so-called leader is feeding them. Sorry your lovely poem caused an eruption of s**t over here across the pond, but let's just say things are heating up with the prez election in Nov! Half the people I went to high school with, who are my Facebook friends & who live in this same area where we all grew up . . . all rabid Trump fans . . . they are now going thru a ritual of posting the most heart-wrenching photos that can be found of our tortured, abused, mistreated, & hard-at-work prez, all with a summons for us all to pray for him, since he's doing such a great job, yet everyone keeps attacking him!!!!
