Another poem dedicated to a fragile part of myself...

Just follow the sound of my voice my voice...

A child is flopped in a corner

Crying silent tears.

Desperate for help 

But gets none

Because no one can hear the tears,

Running down her plump cheeks

And no one can spot her,

Consumed by the shadows.

Please

My sweet

Come to me.

Let me sooth thee

Calm thee

Be thy guardian angel.

Please

Oh fragile little mind

Let me embrace thee with my compassion.

Let me lead thee out of the darkness

And into the light of day.

I will do all the work,

I will protect thee from the demons of thy soul

Just follow the sound of my voice…

Perhaps "Oh fragile little mind" in place of "Thee fragile little mind"? Also, I would prefer to think that the demons are not within her soul but have set upon her soul. Do you believe that a soul is born with demons or acquires them or can only be beset by them?

I believe that one only can be beset by them... but the "demons" within her soul is really not demons.. its a metaphor for pain and insecureness :-)
